RMFI Credential Advancement

RMFI offers the opportunity to apply to advance credentials for members holding Ministry Certificate (to License level) and License (to Ordination level).  This process is initiated by RMFI and sent via letter through the US Postal Service once per year – typically in mid-March.  These credential advancement application form letters are mailed to those (1) whose credentials are currently renewed for the year, (2) who have held their credentials for at least one full year, and (3) who are members in good standing.   Receiving a letter is not to imply that advancement is probable, only that the member is eligible to apply for advancement.

To successfully apply for credential advancement, complete the advancement application letter paying careful attention to read and fully comply with all the requirements outlined in the letter.  Some of them are (but not limited to):

  • Only one advancement form letter will be mailed – no replacements will be made.
  • The original letter must be processed and returned.
  • The applicant is responsible to acquire the letter of recommendation and return it with the form.
  • The recommender may not be a family member.
  • The recommender must be someone over the applicant in the Lord and who has observed their personal and ministry growth.
  • The recommendation letter must state that they are recommending the applicant for the specific level applying for.
  • The recommendation letter must include signature, contact information and their relationship with the applicant.
  • The return deadline date will be adhered to.
